To all the men and women who have served, and to those that are currently serving, I salute you. To those that paid the ultimate price for our freedom, may you rest in peace my comrades. Bruce 1947 USMC 0311
And may God bless the families left behind. My son sleeps in total safety and security each night and someone, somewhere apid a price for that. I'll never forget. Mike USMC 0311 as well PS. An excellent article in the Seattle Post Intelligencer about a fallen Marine. She definitely had the stuff.
Ditto! I hope everyone takes a moment today to remember those that have made the ultimate sacrifice to keep this country safe and our way of life unchanged. USNS Nav ET 84-90
Right on, Bruce. Thanks. For some, this is just a day off of work. It's great to be reminded of what it's really all about. Yes, I consider myself lucky to live here. I am grateful to the many who serve this country.

I take time today as well, to thank ALL the men and women who have served OUR country here .. and abroad. Thank you and you are all in my prayers...both those here now, and those that have departed. THANK YOU and MAY GOD BLESS YOU !!! Laura
Thank You to all who have served and current members of the US Armed Forces. This is my 1st Memorial Day since my daughter enlisted in the US Navy.
Agree, we should salute all of those served and never came home as well as those who served in any capacity. Sacrifices by long forgotten individuals large and small have made this nation free.
When you are appreciating your freedom, take care all the time, whenever you notice someone that is obviously a veteran to thank them for your freedom. I have done this frequently, and have had some fascinating conversations with WWII - Iraq War veterans. One of the more memorable was a Hispanic gentleman that said he fought in Korea, he was an immigrant from Mexico and earned his citizenship the hard way, he joined the US Marines and fought for a country he loved and believed in, more so than his home country.
Thanks Bruce and everyone else! Things have changed a lot since I was spit on and called a baby killer when I flew into JFK International Airport in 1973. I also want to thank all of the men and women that have served and died and the one's currently serving our' wonderful Country and also want to thank their' families as well for their sacrifices! May God bless you all and may there never be a time again, when your' sacrifice was in vain! Frank
