1958 D retained lamination on Lincoln's forehead & struck through grease errors

    Need help evaluating this 1958 D error coin 20191010_115130.jpg 20191010_115130.jpg 20191010_115150.jpg 20191010_115217.jpg 20191010_115205.jpg want to find out if it's worth sending to Coin Grading and auction?

    Yeah looks like a lamination and possibly struck through. Definitely not worth sending to get graded.

    Try taking your pictures directly over the coins, not at an angle.

    Looks like it was harshly cleaned as well, that would hurt the value.

    Unretained Lamination. nice find.
    The dent at the obverse 2 o'clock position is PMD and not part of the lamination.

    We take these pictures to see the obvious. If he didn’t directly go over the coin. You wouldn’t have seen the images!

    Wrong! You take pictures directly over the coins as a starting point, then you move coin, angle or lighting from there.

    The dent on left you can bearly see letters looks like struck through grease the 2 oclock maybe pmd and the retained lamination is on lincols forhead. Or what would you call this error?

    Lincoln's forehead looks like a retained lamination but the other 2 spots are detached lamination errors. All very nice and one the same coin. Not worth grading but a great find. Welcome to CT.
