Just received in mail today 3 new notes, which brings my collection up to 100 different notes! First one, from Indonesia... woman in military uniform... Indonesia, 10 sen, 1964 Next one... not a real note (in sense it's not legal tender or redeemable anywhere) but should be: USA (privately made novelty), 1,000,000 dollars, 2003 Very festive (though 2003 was not the Year of the Dragon lol, it was the Year of the Sheep)... dragon sure looks like it's having fun! Speaking of festive dragons... China, 100 yuan, 2000 This note was issued to celebrate the Year of the Dragon and the new milennium! The golden dragon here sure looks like he's in a celebratory mood! And speaking of celebrations... this is the 100th note in my collection (and my first polymer, as it truns out)! Woo-hoo! Here's to the next 100...
congrats on hitting the 100 mark. i know i have over 300 but havent posted everything. keep up the collecting
100 is when the fun stops beleive me when i hit 1000 itwas nt as much fun and somehow i doubt 10000 will be .
Lovely Dragons :hail: There are a few more to go with the Indonesian one LOL dont want her getting lonley As for the numbers dont worry they will slowly creep up LOL I will have to find one of the Chinese ones for my collection now that you have shown it to me LOL
That dragon looks like he's running away from something , it's pretty funny. Thanks for sharing and many congratulations.
Every eBay auction I've seen for it claims it's "scarce" lol... though there's usually at least 3 to 5 up for auction at any given time so possibly the sellers are just limiting the supply to keep bids up... anyway shouldn't be too hard to find one, somewhere... they didn't circulate all that much as they were pretty much seen as a collector's item from day one (I'm pretty sure that China intended them to be!) so virtually all of them are uncirculated. It was China's first (and so far, their only) polymer note. Well how do you know he's not running towards it, lol? I do agree it's a rather unique pose... I thought he was either dancing or doing some kind of kung-fu move... And thanks!
well you let me know how it feels at 1000 and i will let you know how it feels at 10000 i think getting the firs tnote is best some people have compared it to you know what
Congrats Troodon. Being a basically US collector I've never counted mine. This is probably a very good thing. Perhaps I should have done world notes. I'd have more room in the safe and spent a lot less money. clembo
congrats to all world banknote collectors. You have a brighter and more colourful world in your collection.
