You win it was a dishtowel. I have had a hell of a time trying to figure out how to use paint 3d and this is the best I could do on that if any one has some helpfull suggestions on doing pics I am all ears ! @Bing @Spaniard @Jwt708 Here are the best pics I could do.
Check out Doug's page on photography, my setup is similar but much humbler. I use paint to combine and crop my images. I don't have a picture handy...
I used Picasa Photo Viewer (free on line download) to crop and join the two images. Then I used Remove.bg to remove the background. Took three or four minutes. Easy Peasy.
@Bing Thank you for your help I can see I have a lot of work to do to get to where I can provide good phots of my coins.
It's mot hard or time consuming (relatively speaking 10 coins vs 700 coins). If you need help or want some instruction, just PM me or any number of CT members. I know I would be glad to help and I'm sure others would be as well.
Seriously check out Doug's pages. Using a simple set up you can get really good images. The collage below, each picture was taken with a point and shoot camera, a tripod, a CD-Rom disc holder, and some black construction paper. Images were combined, cropped, and resized with Paint.
Start here and go through them. You can also go to his main page and find several interesting articles. http://www.forumancientcoins.com/dougsmith/coinphoto2011ez.html I don't think he uses Paint but I do.
