1981p quarter double

    1570601139999856528657.jpg This 1981p quarter is doubled on the T of liberty, I can't find anything about it, is it a new discovery?

    IMO it looks more like Die Deterioration Doubling. (Judging by the photo). I could be wrong but it's always helpful if you could post clear photos of both sides of the entire coin. Thank you.

    How did that happen I only posted once, unless someone else was poking around with my phone and thought they messed up my post so they reposted it, not that any of us have girlfriends that like to snoop in other people's things, I hope she reads this too ha,ha,

    @Hazmatt ...from what I have learned from here on Coin Talk, the effect you are seeing is called “capped letter”, is a product of progressive die deterioration and is very common.

    As always, correct me if this is not so...Spark
