Thanks everyone. I'm not a slabber but I'm considering having this one slabbed more for the protection than anything else. Thoughts?
An air-tite holder would offer great protection, but nothing wrong with a slab in this case, thats an important and valuable coin.
I think you can protect and care for it more than adequately without spending the money to have it slabbed.
if you just want ti slabbed for protection you should be able to buy a slab and just put it in there unless you want it graded of course
The "professional" grade is merely a curiosity for me. I have an air-tite I could try. Then what do I put the air-tite in?
I put my personal collection in "ring type" air-tites, then into a 2 1/2" saftey flip, then into a storage box. I have had red BU copper for years not change color, as long as they are properly loaded and stored. Before the air-tite holders came out, I used Kointains, but they are a pain if you ever decide to remove them.
