Sealed 1996 W Dime DIE CLASH!

    I just looked back at my sealed 1996 W dime and it has a die clash where the reverse is visible on the obverse and the obverse is visible on the reverse! Just found it in my collection literally 5 minutes ago. Does anyone know anything about these? Is this the first find? Is it worth anything? Ill post pictures when i get back home tomorrow but just wanted to share this with my coin collecting family haha

    Not many clashed die coins have much value but they are fun to collect.

    Don't feel bad. I've found things in my collection I didn't know I had either. One of my greatest fears, having something rare or significant in my collect and not know it! :banghead::woot:

    Yes please.. I have never created a thread without first having enough pictures to show what I have. That's the most important part of the thread.

    Clashes seem to be very commom on Dimes. Now if you can proove that it is definitely on a W Minted dime it would be interesting.

    I kmow right! I was just looking at it because the 1996 W is one if my favorites and realized with my loop its a die clash and got very excited because i thought W errors are pretty rare but wasn't 100% sure

    Thanks! And yeah i thought it was damaged or scratches on the cello but i pulled out my loop for a closer look and nope its definitely an error.

    On a side note: Man, I hope you're not a smoker! We want you to be with us as long as you can. Besides, cigarette smoke and coins don't mix! :yack:

    You know i actually am almost off the cigarettes completely! Down to 2 cigarettes a day, one in the morning and one at night. I have a 5 year old son and plan on being in his life as long as i can so thank you i appreciate it lol

    I bought 10 mint sets in 1996, just to get the extra dime. I'll have to check. Maybe I got lucky and some of them are clashed. Thanks for sharing.
