    uncertain if WRV... compare photos

Looking at angle of your coin , first pic you posted doesn't look like WRV ? I found a couple errors from visit to bank. See if your date touch rim? :)Hope yours are the error type? I posted pic of mine to compare, but yours is nicer coin. OT

Cool find from circulation. IMO I'd say more high AU rather than MS- but I'm far from an expert. I can't look at an SBA Dollar without commenting though.... That is one homely woman!

Thanks for the pics. Your Coin looks great!!!!!

Here are closer pics of the coin and a normal 1979 for comparison

The first 2 pictures are the wide Rim and the last 2 the normal 1979- big difference on the spacing, especially the number one and first nine.

    Its a 1979P SBA Wide Rim/Near Date.

The highest I would say would be a 64. On the low end a 63. There are some distracting hits on the object face. There is also some spotting in the right field. Overall not a bad example. Appears to have very nice mint luster!

Much nicer then my WRV. Found mine years ago searching "hundreds" of dollars in rolls to find all SBA mints and years. Once I obtained a couple complete sets of BU SBAs, else where of course, I got rid of all circulated SBAs but my one WRV that I found.

I see them come up at our Coin Club auction from time to time. Usually they are AU at best and go for about 16 - 20 dollars.

    Nice find...hold on to it.

    Thanks for sharing!!

Nice find. I have been casually searching for one of those for years... unsuccessfully.
