Amy here is a good post to a new member for you to read. This is from @Oldhoopster

This was posted for another new member but it works well for all! It also show that not all of CT members are snarky.

    Hope this helps

So I've been collecting these 1959 D series pennies. I have 4 now. I found the 4th today in fact, hence my looking into these errors again. I need to get it under a microscope but my glasses have me at 20/10 vision, so I don't think they're deceiving me.

I was wondering if any one had heard of or seen one of these pennies with the Lincoln Memorial in the space one column to the right? // Is this even a plausible error in the minting process? Any info would be dope. Much appreciated.

Im brand new here...so forgive me for saying...does anyone see the mintmark? I would need a closer picture...but it looks like a D over something...thats an uncommon error if Im right.

    Shawn..

If it is a RPM.. Repunched Mint Mark that would be a Variety

If it is a Die Chip.. That would make it a minor mint error.

All I see is circulation damage so it is neither.

A suggestion to the new folks: Get yourself some reference material on errors and varieties and do some studying. Part of the fun of this hobby is learning.

Apologies. You mean the sales reference? Didn't realize that was so bad but again, apologies.

Actually I was pretty sure you were joking, but so many newbies on here don't

There is two things that come to mind with this statement, well said by the way.

    1. Buy the Book before the Coin
    2. Knowledge, share it.

Both of these quotes I got here from CT. I do not recall the Member(s) names that had them, but I have never for got them.
