i , for one, would love to see more women become involved in coin collecting. there are some out there who are very respectable and knowledgeable in the coin field. would simply love to see more come into and help promote the hobby. from a selfish point of view, i would like to see more single women close to my age and location become involved in our hobby!!!!!! sorry for selfish motives revealed!!!!..... anyway, happy to hear their comments and welcome more on our forum. your opinions are always welcome (as well as questions) so no need to be shy. having morwe women involved would be a boon for our hobby. surprisingly. i meet more women in martial arts (including hard-core mixed martial art seminars and classes) than i have ever seen at coin conventions or clubs. only my own observations and opinions sincerely.............steve
hi, My mum was and still is? ( i think) a coin collector which i took over when i was 12. She mainly collected European coins (which are now mine hehe). We recently moved to Australia from South Africa. She managed to buy me a 1874 Burgers Fine Beard Pond at an Auction in Cape Town which was my first auction that i attended and my first own worthy coin! She still helps me find good coins weather on ebay or shops etc.. She always says that she buys me the coins for my benefit even though sometimes i hate how much she spends on them... anywayz she says HI! i will convince her to join the forum so it will be + 1 more women @ CoinTalk ! Rado
Mr. Arizona, I haven't posted yet because the talk turned from coins to fish... I cannot stand fish, not even on coins. Snaz, Not really a girl, instead a grumpy old gramma. jeankay

Are you a woman? If not, then you might be better off posting this question in a separate thread as this thread is titled "women of cointalk, Speak...". Might I suggest you post your query in the "What's it worth" forum. This opinion comes from A MAN!
This thread went from gals of CT to fishing to a pick-up bar and lastly a funeral, now my head is spinning. :goofer: Ribbit
By the time you read this, I will be dead. From reading all this nonsense about men collecting coins. Most men sleep, snore and fa-t. Women rule as coin collectors, remember when you are dead, your wife will get your coin collection and give it to her gigolo cabana boy replacement for you. Traci jk )
