I believe it is a large date. The 1 possibly worn to give the impression of a small date, but the 9 looks to be pointing at the mark and the bottom of the 7 looks like it extends past the 0.

I'd wait for a second opinion before you label it though.

It looks like a Large Date to me. Note how the end of the inner loop of the "9" points to the bottom of the leg of the "7".

The nine is the best indicator for me when looking for small dates, also the liberty, however I believe the DDO only comes in large date so always check for that!

On the small date the curl on the 9 bends around more. The 7 is higher, and LIBERTY is weakly struck. On the inside of the 9 it will be sharp and on the large date it is flat, wide and blunt.
But I believe I have posted this for you before. Actually study this photo:

Why is this 1970-s "small date" so hard for me to see sometimes?

If you gave me a 20-point quiz where I had to choose SD or LD for completely different images of small date and large date coins, using just the date alone (not LIBERTY), I don't think I could get them all correct...

And it doesn't seem hard to do. But I still get it wrong sometimes.

It's easy. They are all large.
When you actually get a small, you can tell.

The diagnostic to me that helps if you are having trouble with the loop of the 9 or the height of the 0 is LIBERTY. While some articles note that a weak LIBERTY can be found on Large Date specimens, I've had great success using it to weed out mislabeled specimens. Good luck on the hunt: they are in the wild but an extremely hard find.
