    Hey all.
I'll be going a coin show this Sunday, and Im bringing a roll of silver quarters to sell.
Any idea how much I should charge?

I know currently a silver quarter is worth about 3.00.
So a roll would be worth $120 - Melt.

    But what should I charge?

The dates range from 1948-1964 - with about half of them being from 60-64

    Magman:
As of yesterday's close you are correct @ 12X face.

    Charge?
See what you are offered for them.

When I was buying silver quarters one dealer was buying for $0.75-$1.00 each and selling for $1.25 each. I haven't priced them in awhile but would say that the pricing is about the same. Look for about $2.00-$2.50 per quarter offered. $2.00 X 40 = $80.

Go for melt Magman. $120 is reasonable now but keep an eye on the closing spot on Frday. Might be a bit more.

It's not what you want for them so much as it's whats you're going to get. Regardless of the price you set, you will only get what someone else is willing to pay. In other words, don't set anything in stone price-wise until you get a visual on what the goods are selling for that day.

    Magman,

Since you are going to a Coin Show, you might as well see if there any buyers of Silver coins and bullion there, such as SilverTowne and APMEX and see what they are paying! I find that most of these pay more than the going rate quoted on some websites such as Kitco. Also, you probably won't get a better price for them anywhere else, unless you can find a Collector that is willing to pay more.

Your best deal would probably be to trade for something you want from a dealer's inventory. That's the best way I've found to stretch prices on any bullion I'm selling.

You have $120 spot of quarters, dealer has $140 or so of coins you want... Hammer it out.

It's junk silver ( unless BU), I don't know how Speedy gets 8X face for junk silver.
