Can you post a brighter picture?
I'm not sure that's what it could be.

I believe it is a cud. At least from what I can see. A better focused close up would be great.

I don't think it's a cud.. There is some issue there but not that. Probably a lamination issue.

A cud would involve part of the raised rim. Because that part of the Die Broke away so the metal flows into the break.

To be clear, we are talking about the area right of the date, not the shoulder area right ?

retake the picture but put the coin on a solid piece of paper. White, black, grey .. what ever. The surface you have it on had your camera focus on what ever is on the background and not the coin. Also go to a well lit room as the sensor needs light which isn't anywhere as good as your eyeballs.

much better. I'm don't know much about laminations though. I can't tell if it's a crack or a scratch considering.

As you said, appears to be hairline crack, rim-to-rim...surface of coin is poor.

Please explain your reference to “Todsy”...not familiar to me...Spark

I'm leaving this one alone since nobody is considering my attribution..
    It's a minor Lamination :meh:

Not a die crack, or a cud, imo.

I think it's corrosion, based on the
    rest of the surfaces shown.
