Hi guys. I cashed the check the other day and got that 100$ bill with very low serial number. Any thoughts on value, should I get it graded or leave it like that. Thanks.

Neat. I'm not a currency collector, so I couldn't tell you. But it's cool, even if it turns out to not be worth a premium.

Love how your poll asks the value and both options in the poll say "10".

I'll take that for 10 (bucks)! :hilarious:

I voted for "10" in the poll twice, so I guess that means IOU twenty bucks for it now.

    Ha! I crack me up.

Oh that's nice. Good value there.
I don't think it needs to be graded. Collectors and dealers will know
what it is worth raw or slabbed.
With notes like that, there is always a range of value.
    More so than coins.

I wonder how much there will be over face? Since it is a $100 bill, I feel like that kind of makes it more difficult to get more from it. Am I wrong in this?

seems really low, depends on who wants it the most when its marketed. I think. im sure that's generic, but Im sorry I could not help.

I saw your thread title and thought okaaaaay here's another 'low serial #' thread. Rolled my eyes. Opened the thread and was pleasantly surprised by your accurate definition of low serial #.

It's a keeper or quick seller IMO. As stated, I don't see the benefit of paying to grade it.

    Nice find.

Nice catch! With such a low number, you should see a substantial premium, when you find the right buyer (not all note collectors collect high value notes). Be sure to keep it protected & try not to handle it directly - you should do OK.

Very nice and a definite keeper. Put it in a hard plastic dollar sleeve for protection and tuck it away until after a redesigned $100 bill is in circulation.

Here's a $1 note that has seven zeroes and ends with a six. Keep it in its sleeve but don't bother with having it graded. Start it off on eBay at $300. I guarantee it will sell and likely for more than that- perhaps $500+. Whatever you make after fees and shipping will still result in a nice return on what you paid for it, which is face value.

    Very nice find!
As many members have said, definitely worth over face.
Surprising that you were able to find such a low number in circulation- I haven’t been able to find anything lower than 4 leading zeros.

That,s for sure a winner !! condition looks great as well, i think to the right
Buyer that collects low numbers you might be able to squeeze $35 - $50
    Over face.

    Hi James ;)
According to the ebay sales it looks like buyers actually shell out that kind of money.:jawdrop:

Executive Currency had a $100 FRN 2006A graded AU55 with a S/N 00000009 listed for sale at $1200 on his 2018 price list. For reference, that's the full retail asking price from a well established currency dealer. You won't get that for your note, but it does have decent value
