1982 D dime possible RPM

I know there isn't a RPM listed for an 82D but this 82 looks exactly like the 83 D RPM. Let me know what you think. Thanks

I don't see anything on the 82. It's also advisable to only post links to photos if you don't have permission to post them due to copyright laws.

 

Hey Zach. Looks like you are comparing an 83. If theres an 82, carefully look to see if the MM is in the same exact place and match up any die marks....scratches, chips etc.

I just looked real quick and theres no 82s listed. Probably not an RPM.

 

You can't compare a mintmark from one year to the mintmark of another year.

I understand that. With my eye looking through the loupe, the back side of the D is broken off, I guess, is what happened. Its the exact same shape as the 83. I've got a better camera, just no way to get the pictures to this computer right now.

 

Its not an RPM bud. Just took some hits and wear maybe a bit of a worn die or something but certainly not an RPM.

 

I didn't think it was, with there not being one listed. It just looks identical to the other one.

 

But, it doesn't look identical to it.

That's only because I had to take it from a different angle because that microscope is horrible for pictures. Looking from straight above, its pretty similar.

 

Pretty similar isn't exactly like.
