Is it for real! Quarter heads ov and rv?

    Found a quarter Weight 5.42 grams. With heads on both sides. Is it real or fake?

    Fun and interesting non the less. I have a double head 1932 I carry as a pocket piece.

    Guess Brinks is having fun with me. One roll had a penny in it. Then found this.

    I would be super happy to find one in a roll. Better than any parking lot coin and it only cost 25¢

    Hi, just research the minting process and protocol for striking coins and you can learn alot about mint errors.

    It's called a "Magician's Coin". From your image, I can see the seam on the '78 side between the field and the rim. It's not the best job. I can clearly see where too much of the rim was removed near the date. If it is performed properly, you would really need a microscope to detect the seam.

    It's a real quarter that was made into a fake 2 headed coin.

    Youd think a magician (for most tricks) would want the same date on both sides. Im not into magic so I dont know.

    Looks like it was fairly well done,But yes a fake. Indicators are 1 different years,2 bottom of the date cut off,3 sadly it's a double headed coin. Almost impossible to happen. Yet there are a very few examples of an actual double headed/double tailed coin.
