It is always cool when you can make out the design and even some of the lettering and date on the side that split off. You can see a fuzzy LIBERTY and I believe part of the date on this 1936 cent. Enjoy!
Pareidolia. (Seriously, I would've looked right past that 9 if (a) you hadn't pointed it out and (b) it weren't in the EXACT expected place. Hard to imagine that that kind of fine detail would transfer in that one spot, given the way the rest of the surface looks -- but there it is!)
Actually, that circle area is too far away to be the 9, and too close to be the 6. Maybe part of the 3??? But then maybe it is the 9. Notice the width of the outline on the struck side is wider than what appears on the split side. So, maybe that actually is the 9...hmm....
