they open easily with a sharp tool, on the edge, wont even damage the plastic if careful, plus their not airtight. only stupid question is the one not asked.

Ya, we want a picture of some coins.

 

If it isn't asked, it isn't a question. Therefore it can't be stupid. The original version has been skewed over time. It should be, "There is no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid answers."

Carefully, please be very careful and take your time doing it. You don't want to damage the coins.

 

Vise grips

 

Like @Autoturf and @Collecting Nut said, very gently, easy and slowly with an x-acto knife. They come apart very easy.

Here's a prestige set. The proof sets are much easier.

 

whichever coin you take out you then have to replace with something completely ridiculous so you can sell it on fleabay for thousands of dollars.

Let your grandchildren play with it and tell them not to break it open.

 

I just opened a 100 proof set last night. It went down smooth.

 

I hope you didn't break it open. If so, we will never let you play with one again.

 

Unless there is a super high grade coin in there you want to get graded,
the best way to open it, is to leave it in there and not open it.

 

I hope you didn't use these "vice" grips!

Those are the only vise grips that I’m aware of. They work great for opening sets.

 

I prefer an oxy acetylene torch, tool time. before any wise guys , its a joke.
