missing bufflalo gold proof

the whole year product schedule of the u.s. mint is out. but then the american buffalo gold proof schedule is not included. instead i estimate there will be fractional buffalo for the uncirculated version.

2008 american eagle unc

2008 american eagle unc bullion coin might be the highest mintage for the whole series. as of today, only about 4-1/2 month. the 2008 american eagle mintage is around 6,526,000. if the rate continue this pace. it will have a total mintage of 14,238,544. just a reminder.

 

The mint has on their web site as July/August as the expected months for the release of both the Buffalo Proof coins and the Buffalo UNC coins. I assume they are talking about the Buffalo fractional sets. It is bad enough that they will have a set of the proof coins, but now they are going to have a set of the UNC ones as well!!!! :goof::goof::goof:

the mint just edit it. anyway. i don't think buffalo gold series will be popular. the american eagle series were weak. partly due to overcharged by the mint. and partly due to gold weakness. but i still see gold will break its high by end of the year. silver too.

 

If the price of gold continues to rise, I think the higher denominations of the fractional series will be weak. I think the most interest will be with the 1/10 ounce because that would be the cheapest of the set and possibly even the 1/4 ounce because it would be the size of a nickel. I have been hearing alot of talk both here on CT and in the coin shop of how people are wanting to buy the 1/4 ounce because they would like to have the "gold buffalo nickel".

that's make sense. i think i will like to buy some 1/4 oz buffalo gold. it is just like a buffalo nickel plated in gold.

 

2008 silver am eagle bullion coins

2008 silver american eagle bullion coins might be the largest/highest mintage. as of today. there were 6,824,500 pc. if the rate continue this way. it can come out 16,378,000 pc. thus it become the most successful coin sold by u.s. mint within these few years.

there were 3,505,075,560 pc of dollar coins now in circulation. can you believe it?.

 

Yea that is kind of hard to believe but as I am often told at work, what do I know. Still after all this time , very few people in my part of the world even know these thing exist. The banks carried the first three, but have since stop ordering the presidential coins since no one wanted them.

 

Dollar coins circulate in a limited fashion. Mostly in machines of some sort.

They are popular as "Transit Tokens". The Chicago EL uses a ton of the them.

Toll Road change machines give them out as change and a lot of "coin basket" toll road machines take them because the baskets.

There are others. Usually where a coin is better then the note.

And then there are a large amount of the coins in circulation in Ecuador... no small amount ether.

 

I use to get dollar coins from the stamp machines at the post office but now all the machines have been pulled and you have to go to the counter. I never see them in circulation now.

 

seem few circulated

the collectors loved it. they keep it. the general public don't liked it. they don't circulate it. so it will be very few in really circulation. the only way is to stop issuing paper dollar note.

2008 american eagle silver bullion coin headed for a record sale. 10,070,000 as of june. if it continue its pace. it will will over 20,000,000. a record indeed. then the 2008 am eagle silver bullion coin be certainly traded at bullion price forever.

with intrinsic value of nickel stand at $0.06 and cent at $0.005. the mint might not hurry to change its metal content. nickel intrinsic value reached $0.10 before.
