ERROR? Opinions please!

    Hi, I found this coin in circulation last week and since then i ve been trying to find it and now i have. It really appears to me that it is an error because somehow it doesnt look man caused esp on the Reverse

    Post-strike damage. Impacts from the side have pushed metal from the rim over onto the field.

    Hi, thanks for the reply but does that mean it was done by the machine or man made on purpose?
    I am not that familiar with error coins i find them the hardest to learn and understand :hammer:

    It's impossible to identify the source of the damage or when it occurred. But damage is damage. Any damage that occurs after the strike is not collectible, whether the damage is intentional or accidental, or whether it occurred inside the Mint or outside the Mint.

    Yeah i agree with everyone its definitely not an error just some post-strike damage. Either way its still interesting damage. I've never seen a coin like that with the rim pressed over and into the fields. I'd probably save it just as a novelty =P

    Hi, thats exactly what i found interesting and because i have never seen one like that i though maybe it could be something but oh well i am still keeping it :D My collection of wierd looking coins is getting bigger :goof:
