Heyyy I have a 20 dollar star note in really good condition and I'm getting mixed information ok what they are actually worth. I looked up the bill on a site that tells you the rarity of it and it's on the more rare side. This is my first star note find and I'm really excited.
A 2013 $20 Chicago star note. Looks to be in XF-AU condition with a tiny stain just above the series date. These typically sell on eBay just over face value. A short run on an otherwise crowed district. Congratulations on finding your first replacement (star) note.
Condition is everything on modern star notes. Most need to be CU to have a chance at a premium. Plus, the $20 face value is working against you. Save it if you like it, but it may be difficult to get any worthwhile premium for it.
How much did you pay for it, $20? And you think you are entitled to more than that? It's a modern replacement note, I spend them at face value.
Congrats on finding your first star note. Save it if you can since you found it. As others have said you won't retire on this note and condition is everything on paper notes.
Good for you . I'll remind you that there are some major $,$$$,$$$ collectors who would spend anything in your (worthless to them) collection too! Remember, at one time you were just a newbie and not a "well-known (to someone) member." You may wish to read the more helpful comments in this thread.
There are people who buy Bolivares on ebay and they're worth about as much as used toilet paper in their own country. People will buy anything if it looks cool to them.
