    Well - I was late for the fire, which is probably best, as I cannot really say "better" than @Bing's Pax setting fire to a pile of arms....and @Terence Cheesman's coin leaves me speechless. Here's my "too slow" fire:

    When I got a macro lens earlier this year, I took lots of coin photos - this is one of my favourites - RIC 199, Augustus, with Caius Caesar on reverse. The reverse doesn't live up to the obverse!

    I took this photo of a sestertius of Herennia Etruscilla in sunlight and it captures the multicolored patina and the coin's details quite well:
