I believe you misunderstood what Dan is selling.

My understanding is, for $300 (or $475 for a holed coin) Dan will overstrike the host coin you ship to him ONLY if it's a 1798 - 1803 silver dollar.

It says nothing here about supplying a host coin.

 

Providing your own 1798-1803 Draped Bust Dollar is the only way not to get “STRUCK ON A USA SILVER DOLLAR” on the reverse. TC

 

I just re-read it and I did misunderstand the listing.
Well anyway I did send a Peace dollar, so maybe he'll use it or send it back.

Same here... my 1805 and 1931-S dollars "Shipped" today.

I wonder what would happen if someone sent him a $60 90% silver fake china draped bust dollar with edge lettering to overstrike? Will he strike it or send it back?
