    Didn't want to post to the Coin Error forum because it's probably not an error. Thanks

    That was a good idea!

    It may have been an error at one time, but now it's just a corroded Lincoln memorial cent, but you can probably still use it as a cent. Appears pre-zinc, but that doesn't help it any.

    That's all the info I can give you.

    The outline on the obverse appears a little too sharp for me to think it's a struck-thru grease coin, but I can't rule that out.
    @paddyman98 @Fred Weinberg @JCro57 @furryfrog02 @Rick Stachowski thoughts?

    Looks like the start of a dryer coin. I don’t think it is an error. Some kind of damage.

    I think it is a Struck Through Debris coin. Mostly because of the sharp inner rim line and a complete rim. And pretty sure it is post 1968.

    The rim is what gave me pause.

    Looks like a 1995. And it looks like struck through Grease.
    Or filed down which is damaged.

    Do you have a weight for this coin?

    Just looked at it with a magnifying glass and I believe it to be 1996. My first thought was 1986 but at different rotations and angles think it's 1996. 99% 19_6 though

    That makes it post 1982. I still think it is STD, dryer coins are usually rolled over on the edge. JMO.

    Here's the Obverse rim the best I could do at this time. I can get the reverse later.
