LOL - could wait to post this. The first picture is what I am going to work on - first I am raiding nephews change jars. I separate my change into 4 jars - 1 for each nephew and they get it at xmas time. They might get a little less this year. And yes there is a state quarter books in the list. Now I will go see how full I can get them. Oh - I did add AG3 S279 1808 large cent. Not bad for a $35 coin - looks to be problem free. I did have to make the light more direct on the obverse to see the details. Remember all comments and opinions are always welcome!
Spent the last 3 hours filling books - and did not get to the pennies or nickels. Thumbs are too sore now.
Man, nice coin! :thumb: Also, best of luck with the sets! they should like them, if your thumb hurts too much after awhile, you could try a :hammer:. Phoenix
Great Classic Head Cent Mark! :thumb: I don't have a 1808 yet but I'm still in "building mode" so I will eventually get one. Right now I am trying to complete my Draped Busts and need to get a couple more dates to complete it, then I'll work upwards from there, except for the occasional downward slide when I manage to find a Capped Cent at a "reasonable" price. Ribbit
LOL - the sets are for me. They get the left over change at the end of the year at xmas time. At this point my nephews are really not into collecting. The 18 and 19 year have other things on their mind. The 3 and 7 year old I am going to slowly buy interesting stuff for them as they get older. Doing some world notes for the 7 year old, but there are enough he can share with the 3 year old.
Hi Mark h, I have four sets of Lincolns going for my four granddaughters. Whenever I get a few coins of the same denomination I take the best one for myself and put the remainder in the other four albums in a random manner. If I upgrade my own coin then I use the replaced coin to upgrade one of the other albums. Of course, my best coins go into my special albums. Not only is this a lot of fun in the searching, but helps me pay more attention to detail and learning how to grade better. Learn something new everyday... jeankay
Don't shoot me - but I really did not pay much attention to grade. At times when I new the one that I inserted could be better, when I found a better one I would upgraded it. Not much chance of that with the dimes and quarters. With the pennies the ones that caught my eye went in and the others tossed a side. I did not try to grade them at all. I do think it is fun and enjoyed it. In my case you would see a mix of colors in the folder. The wheaties I will have to fill from the local coin shop or online - doubt I will get very many in change any more.
