I stopped at my favorite bank today and took all of their $2.00 bills; $46.00 worth. Nothing until the second to the last and . . . BAM, a 1953 A Red Seal in pretty fair condition. I also went through $100 in $1 bills but only found a star note. I did get a 1941 Jefferson nickel back in change though, so a pretty lucky day.
Though they are high on the cool factor, they just dont bring in much, in the Way in value, similar to the $1 Silver certificates from the 1957 Series.
Yup, need super-high quality and/or another factor (i.e., low SN) to get a decent and/or great price.
