I found a homestead quarter. Looks like lightning struck the chimney. Is it worth more than it’s face value? Or should I just add it to my variety book? Thanks!
I was going to say '...we've told you a thousand times not to exaggerate...' and then the very next post I open is without pictures. You don't exaggerate at all.
Paddyman98^^^^^^^ please stay away from my post! Appreciated very much! I d rather not have any of your input!
Sorry furyfrog! My bad! ( I don’t have the best phone for pic taking! It scatters at 12:00, 3:00, and 9:00 o clock!
Based on the pictures, I'd say it is either: 1) possible clash though I don't know of what it would be. 2) struck though something 3 - and most likely) just damage
So probably not a die crack? I wish my phone camera was better shows alot more than that! Thanks! Advice and more than I know is appreciated very much!
Well the Homestead quarter is known for its nearly 200 varieties of doubled dies. The best being the pump handle reflection in the window doubled die. Along with the 100+ window pane doubling. The quarter is easy to find with die chips and die cracks too. What you show is not nothing interesting at all, compared to what is possible. Meow thinks what you have is die deterioration at the roof. Very common with that issue, nothing to get exited about. And @paddyman98 is one of nicer guys out there, and very knowledgeable. You should not easily dismiss what he has to say. He is also kind to Cats, so...……….
I’ve learned a boatload on this site. None of it has been due to telling experienced collectors like @paddyman98 to take a leap.
