look what i won at my coin club meeting

i won this in the raffle they do. it is one ounce of fine silver with gold plating. and only 30 where made. also it was made by the philidelphia mint

Okay, not from the US Mint in Philadelphia.
Perhaps a mint located in Philly (a private mint).

 

I believe it was probably the Franklin Mint. The Franklin Mint specializes in commemorative and other coins like above.

 

Pretty nice, I'm normally not a fan of altered coins, but she sure is pretty! :thumb:

its not an altered coin, but one that was specifically minted for this purpose. it is about the same size as a silver eagle. and weighs the same.

 

Very interesting - kind of like the design.
