    Here is a new Roman Republic I picked up from @Valentinian & was right in my price range.

    AR Denarius
    O: Helmeted head of Mars right; mallet (malleolus) above, mark of value below chin.
    R: Warrior, holding spear and shield, with right foot on cuirass, standing left before trophy; prow to right; C•M(AL) to right.
    Rome Mint
    3.67g
    19mm
    Crawford 335/3b; Sydenham 615; Poblicia 6a; Type as RBW 1203.

    Nice coins - here's another C. Poblicius Malleolus, A. Postumius Albinus & L. Caecilius Metellus from 96 BC.

    Rev: Roma seated left on shields, holding sword in left hand and spear in right hand, crowned from behind by Victory, on left C MAL downwards, in exegue ROMA, border of dots.
