Any online source you fine folk can direct me to? Just looked through my stash of foreign coins and some appear to be silver. How do I determine what is and isn't Ag? Thanks
Are you familiar with the tissue test? It is quite unscientific and simplistic but it works pretty darned good for a starter. Take yourself a pre-64 quarter and a post-65 quarter and lay them side by side. Then lay a single ply sheet of tissue over them. The difference you will see is quite pronounced..... It certainly isn't a definitive test by any stretch, but it is a quick and easy way to start sorting unfamiliar silver.
I'd look in the Krause Standard Catalogue of World Coins. It will tell you the composition of every coin from every country in every year.
Moreover, you could post pictures here on cointalk of the coins in question I quite enjoy identifying foreign silver.
My local dealer is offering me a used 2016 Krause for $20. I do have a burgeoning foreign collection now. I see one as cheap as $11 online. Maybe I'll counter with $15?

The prices and pictures don't get updated as much as I'd like them to, but the classification and basic info is usually pretty accurate. I refer to my copies of Krause (18th, 19th, and 20th centuries) several times a week.
