Well, only if it MS-67 or above then I would give it a shot on slabbing. Do you have a photo of it?

If you found it in circulation, no.

Really need to post pictures. Lincoln cents are really hard to grade and graders are really hard on them as well. For example, this 47 has a great reverse but I think the two marks in the right field that form a backwards L (in front of Lincoln's chin) would keep this from a 67. I really like the color on this one as well!

If you got yours out of an original bank wrapped roll from 1964 where all the cents were the same year and it was the best of the bunch then it probably would be worth spending the money to have it graded. Still it probably is worth putting in a 2 x 2 and into your collection if you like it. In a few months you can go back and look at it again after you get some more experience looking at more high grade examples and evaluate it again.

be wary of old pennies in resold rolls that are nice and shiny.

Ever see those commercials of someone selling some liquid that immediately makes copper pans nice and shiny with one single wipe? Yeah, they use that stuff on pennies too.

Vinegar/salt does the same thing to remove copper oxide. Here's a nice, quick read about it.

They don't look bad from here but we need much closer detailed pictures.

Yes, they look nice and shiny
but just look at the to left one. It had a bunch of dings and scraps all over the shoulders etc. So that one definitely has seen some good circulation.
The bottom left one on the lapel shows scraps and such from circulation.
Your hand moved too much taking the images and you can see movement as the other ones are fuzzy from motion.

You'll need to go to a room that has more light. Your camera sensor does not work as good as your eyes. More light will then have a faster camera shutter speed which will minimize the motion blurriness. Do not use your cell phone flash, it is too close in a direct reflection line to the sensor and will be too bright to see much. Thus go to a much brighter room.

you'll also want to do one coin at a time, and crop them so we can actually see them. With those small images we can really only tell that they are pennies, but not much else.

I would say no to grading but yes to keeping! Put them in a protective holder such as a 2 x 2 and add them to his collection!
