A reaaalllllyyyy nice guy at a coin show asked me if i had any unc. walking libs. and i told him no so he put an MS65+ on the table and told me it was mine. Said he got a roll of them at an estate sale and he had plenty (most came back from NGC 66s). If i ever were to sell it where would i do it and what's a fair price?
If I were you I would keep that half as a reminder that there are some great coin dealers who are not selfish and only in the hobby for the money.
That was a good show for me. There was a 1910 lincoln that didn't have a price on it so another dealer gave it to me free. Its only worth a few dollars at the most, but it really amazed me how nice everyone was.
yeah ur right but i just wanted to know who would pay good money for it if i were to sell it (i probably wont).
A PCGS or NGC MS65 is currently worth about $120. Not that you asked or care what I think, but it strikes me as less-than-gracious behavior to sell such a generous gift.
That was my feeling. I would be MUCH less inclined to give a YN a nice coin if I knew his first action would be to sell it.
If you're so sure, then why did you bother to give advice regarding listing it on Ebay? And the fact that he posed the question as he did below, certainly makes it sound as if he might sell it.
If what you say is true, then that would make this coin a providence, and to sell it would be very bad karma. 42 is an easy year to get a nice coin of this series, which I love by the way, but getting such a nice one as a gift, good karma, don't blow it. And... Keep on Collecting!!! Allen
he says he probably wont which is good enough for me as for why i bothered to give advice thats my perogative its a free forum last time i checked
I didn't say a word about it not being your prerogative or a free forum, so please don't imply otherwise. It seems odd that you would discuss selling it on Ebay, or any other way, while at the same time speaking as if you know he won't sell it. Even he, the owner, doesn't sound nearly as sure about what he will do, as you do. You left no room for doubt in your comment.
as quoted in my earlier post he wants to know IF he wanted to sell it where he would sell it and i see no harm in answering that question. everyone deserves to know what they choose to do that with that knowledge is upto them. It doesnt bother me either way if he sells it or not its his coin .to me its doesnt look like he wont sell it so why should i doubt someone's word.
