So I have wanted to buy a box of pennies which bank branch would carry that? The bank I went to the other day I realized the teller rolls them as they get them.
Hi James, every bank can get you a box of lincoln cents. It is however up to them if they do or not. The correct term is cents. They are lincoln cents. Every bank that you walk in to will be different than the next, even within a chain. Some will be glad to give you a box of cents and others will act as if it is their first born child you are asking for and will tell you they do not do that. It costs them money to buy boxes so if they don't want to give you that box, understand that and find a bank that will. On the other end of things, customer wrapped rolls at times have held the greatest finds for me. I use Bank of America, M&T bank and APGFCU and each of the branches I visit I use for different reasons. The associates at each branch dictate how you do business with them. I would be more than happy to answer any questions you have through private message. Feel free to ask!
Funny thing....ask any person off the street what a nickel is worth, they'll say 5 cents. Ask another fellow what a dime is worth and he'll say 10 cents. Ask someone what a cent is worth and they'll tell you, one penny.......
The delivery of the wrapped and boxed coins have to be delivered to the bank by armed guarded trucks, so there is expense usually too much to hope the person becomes a bank customer so they can get it back. They might be more inclined in you opened an account or just asked, when you send in your next delivery order, what would you charge if I requested XX boxes of XX? There have been a large increase due to popularity on YooTub of CRH, and the many of the banks have stopped doing such except for real customers. Jim
