Star notes value

    I don't think a bank would have a clue what you're talking about when asking for a star note. It's just a matter of when & where you'll find one in your change. Otherwise, you just gonna have to buy 'em. Whenever I sell them, I put them in a currency holder which costs about $1 and then store them. I sell them for FV+$2. $1 is for the value of the currency holder.

    I'm kind of surprised that star notes have the increase in value that they do. I get why higher quality grades make a big impact....I get low serial numbers....but just because a note was a replacement (and there are so many of them) you would think it would be only a minor bump in value..?

    It's more of a cool novelty than anything else. They make great gifts and can even be a leverage to start a kid in collecting.

    If you do nothing more than collect 'em, you'll have plenty when you stop & take count! Good fun!
