I have 12 Kennedy Half Dollars. I weighed them today for the first time. They all (12 coins) weighed either 12.49gm or 12.51gm, except one. One weighed 12.61gm

I’m certain that it is not a calibration issue and they are silver.

My question is why would one of them weigh right at 9-10gm more than the rest of them.

I took pictures of three coins. The coin by itself is the coin in question. The other two are just for comparison.

    TIA

Tolerance on silver half dollar weight is just under .2 grams, plus or minus. Your coin is within tolerance. Congratulations, you've got 5 cents or so worth of extra silver. ;)

All normal but you won't get any extra money for that heavy one.

It's actually .1g to .12g heavier than the others, not 9-10gm more. As stated, it's within minting tolerances.

    High(er) than recently.

These were $12 each at local coin shops when I got into coin collecting.

You must have started collecting around 2011.... As a youngster I remember silver almost going to $50.00 at one time in the 1970’s.... Sure did put Morgan & Peace dollars out of reach for this youngster.

Early 2012 to be exact. If I started buying during the spike, silver coins would have burned holes in my pockets. Silver was about $30-34 when I got into coins.
