So I found some nice Capital Plastics holders cheap....real cheap. One was new in boxfor the short set 1934 -1938 buffalo nickels. So I decieded a short set with some of the series best varieties. Well two of the 12 dates and mint marks are filled. Have a look at the starting line...the fall hunt is on for variety buffalo nickels.
Yes and now searching for a raw 38 D/S 36S/S and I have these but they are slabed. I do believe from 34 on to 38 there is a variety ,ddo, ddr, rpm, omm,of sorts. So I'm happy to begin with a mid grade 37 D 3 legged and a 1935 ddr .
1935 P F ddr fs-1935-801 [018] 1936 s/s Au. rpm fs-1936s-501 [20] 1937 D Vf. 3 legged fs-1937D-901[020.2] 1937 s/s ms-64 rpm- 001 1938 D/S ms-65 omm-004 7 to go......
Time to revisit this short set today I filled another slot an 1936 D/D . So with most specimens in this set Au./Ms. With the exception of the 35 ddo fs-05 1935-803 (018.1). @cpm9ball no Chris I went west not east lol. 1934 1934 D 1935. ddr fs-05 1935 -803-(018.1 1935 D 1935 S. rpm fs-05 1935 S rpm 005 1936 D/D. fs-05 1936 s-501(020) 1937 1937 D. fs-05 1937 D-901 (020.2) 1937 S. Fs-05 1937 S rpm 006 1938 D/S. fs-05-514. omm 004
Well as luck, would have it while doing some more research ,I discovered that this specimen not only a rpm., but its a ddr to boot! Will post some images later.
I see no mention of the 1936 D/S. This one can be tough. I don't know whether it is really scarce or just underpublicized and they are sitting out there waiting to be Cherry Picked.
