Discover what you like then start collecting that. Learn the differences and characteristics of coins. Look at the same type of coin in different grades so you can learn to distinguish the differences. But most of all, enjoy what you are doing. Enjoy collecting. It's your collection so you determine everything and don't let anyone tell you differently.

A bit but it's still an F-15. I'm okay with the wear and silver wears faster than clad. I feel like I hijacked this thread which was not my intention. I hope the OP learns from all this.

 

Aunt Zilla....yes....lots of Hodgepodge!!!! I found some off brands but thats still the best. I keep every single one. Im kind of a puzzle snob. If Im going to take time to work one, I want good quality. You know, good chunky pieces that fit snug! I am on a kick right now with the "iridescent" puzzles. Also, I bought some glow powder from amazon and mix that in the podge to make a really super cool effect at night! Puzzles and coins kind of go hand in hand...its all about the details!!

My daughter would love the iridescent... and glow in the daaaark!!!!! Ooooh she’s gonna flip out when I tell her! My husband refuses to share every wall with me. He’s a hunter... so he has ... animals. On the wall. I’m an animal lover, don’t know how we ended up together! But I made him move some to his ‘mancave’ For room to hang puzzles I have so many, I change them out often with the seasons.. if I could even say, southeast Texas really only has one season... boiling summer.

Now he has to make room for my newest interest! And what coins I could save of my great grandfathers (Hurricane Harvey and his 6’5ft wrath on my home took most of them) will be hanging on the wall dead center, even if they aren’t the heavily sought coins.. they are incredibly valuable to me! So I’ll build my little collection around his shadow coin box.

I made a mistake in telling someone I looove clocks, because now I have a wall of incredibly strange clocks.. and I need to make room. My daughter is going to hate her new decor! I’m taking over the walls here!

@AuntZilla Start a new thread in the General Discussion forum and post photos of your clocks and puzzles. When now I guess that's 2 threads, one for each. I would love to see your incredibly strange clocks as you put it. lol

 

We do have a few of the other kind as well. You fit right in with us crazy coin people. And we all have other interest as well.

I like the first one. I would have thought the second one was damage but it seems not to be the concensus.
