1980 D Lincoln Cent with appears to be Deep cameo frost strike.

    For some unknown reason this occurred a lot from 1960-64 on cents. It included the chin and neck a lot.

    You need to use something like VarietyVista. To check your coins.

    I think you will find that unless the coin dealer specializes in errors & varieties like Fred Weinberg, they are likely to know very, very little about them. That is because it would take up too much of their time searching for and examining error & variety coins when their primary concern is selling coins.
