Yipee, just got my 2008 ASE Unc. AND they are.....

I'm kidding about getting 20 lumps of coal! The ASE are beautiful coins. I subscribe to get 10/yr just to collect with my son. I bought another 10 just to try to get a raw reverse variety. I was 0-for-20 from the mint, but we will keep all 20 and some may become Christmas gifts.

Super!!! You hit the jackpot! The mint estimates 47,000 MS '07 reverses, according to Coin World's article. The 2007 gold Buffalo proof coin had a mintage of about 60,000, but there are surely more Silver Eagle collectors. The last NGC census showed that almost half of the variety 2007 reverse Silver Eagles graded MS70. That sort of points to around 20,000 MS-70's of the 47,000 total. Of course not all of the coins will be graded! It will be interersting to see how the mintage estimate effects prices! From your user picture it looks like you also have two cute proof Eagles in the nest(maybe 2001 to 2003 examples?).

 

He hit the jackpot? Really? He did? Great. then I did also. My 2008 ASE has the 2007 look also. But sadly, my proof version does not. And someone here wrote they (unc) were going for $200. Fantastic. So would an MS-70 be worth even more?

 

my first order was all 2008 reverses but my second order is 2007 reverses, just now got them out of the mail box
