Human error makes no sense. Man-made damage is what you probably mean. That wouldn't be an error of any kind. Looks like man-made post mint damage to me.
I guess I meant did it get it's trauma from a machine die or did some wild kid take a pair of pliers to it to see if he could bend the thing or something. I like how you put it paddyman, "man-made post mint damage". That's the little kid taking the pair of pliers to it. What's the best way to get a good picture of the coin, I seem to have troubles getting a good picture I know my phone is not the greatest it's one of the lower-end Samsungs but I just have a trouble was focusing in on something so close and sometimes needing the light on to which makes too much of a glare.
It's made of zinc and the reverse looks like the metal is starting to suffer from zinc rot. Very common and not a Mint error. Welcome to CT.
The rather large rim indentations lead me to think something like pliers or such had a grip on the cent when someone tried to make it more "valuable" Jim
There is too much light on the critical area that requires examination. Cell phones may have many advantages, but taking good photos of coins is not one of the attributes for some of them. Chris
