    Hey all,

So I've finally worked up the courage to walk into my local bank, look the teller straight in the eye and say "Can I get some change? Like, a lot of change..."
And I'm having a great time doing it. I grew up a young numismatist thanks to my late grandmother getting me into the hobby. Years have gone by, I have the money to coin roll hunt, and a ton of old knowledge about things to look for, so here I am.

I started with Lincoln Cents, had some luck. But yesterday I got my first $100 box of Nickels. No war nickels, no 1950 D... But I did come across something rather odd.

A nickel which I can not make out a date, as the entire obverse is a weird "straight line spiral pattern" except for a small section near the middle. I can't seem to find any other examples like this online. So...

What do you think? Did I luck out and find an awesome mint error? Or did someone do something stupid to it after it left the mint? Opinions are very welcomed. Thank you!
