The Cathedral of Orvieto was damaged by an earthquake in 1832. Its restoration is commemorated in the 1842 dated medal of the Vatican.

I bid on that, slightly over the pre-auction estimate, but it went way over the high estimate and I didn't have the time to log in for the real-time auction and update my bid. Really beautiful specimen.

I don't own it but saw it an upcoming auction. Real nice detail on the cathedral.

St. Paul's Cathedral on a penny token issued by H Young, the Georgian coin dealer. An early strike before the die chipped, obliterating the date.

Two upcoming coins at a Stacks auction. I know the second isn't a cathedral, but think the designer did a wonderful job showing the building so I wanted to add it anyway. Look at the level of detail on the little statues around the front edge of the building. 1.jpg 2.jpg
