Many will have difficulty in reading this article about human vision, but most of aspects are laid out in simpler descriptions. Basically it explains that most of your 'seeing' ( interpreting vision) is 'made up', Our eyes are similar to the lower resolution camera, but it has the best computer in the world ( a good brain) to process the data and then interlace things together so we feel we can spot any deviation ( as we see it ) and then expect others to see it the same way, whereas their brain may not. Interesting article.. I think the problem is that when new collectors think they see something that is actually not, they are caught in that bottleneck area and can't get out and move foward
I think people are not doing enough research and learning varieties of coins and using proper light and optical tools! Just my thought and 2 cents. I will read your article thanks for posting it.
We all see, act, taste and think differently. And even some who research a little or a lot can end up having a closed mind. That, to me, is the real problem. The best of us have some humility and can be open minded and also be willing to admit they are wrong.
Yeah. there's some truth in that. But realize this, a very similar thing happens in all sections of the forum on a daily basis, even an hourly basis. People see things, and even more often, don't see things - because they don't know what it is they are looking at.
