    Just picked this up from the post office.

    Obverse: Wreathed head of Tanit, four dolphins around.
    Reverse: Head of horse, palm tree behind; punic letter below.
    Date: 350-300 BC
    Diameter: 24.5 mm.
    Weight: 17.7 gr.
    References: Jenkins 256
    Characteristics: Toned.

    BL 1½ Shekel or Tridrachm, Second Punic War

    Obverse: Wreathed head of Tanit left.
    Reverse: Horse standing right, head left; pellet between hind legs.

    Notes: Black surfaces; The billon of this issue has extremely low silver content, such that nearly all examples appear to be bronze.

    Not many COWS / BULLS either: (I laughed out loud when I captured this one. The Seller attributed it as a STEER on the reverse... Look closer. He has all his equipment... itsa Bull to you all "city-slickers". :) )

    This one is a little unusual: a MALE head on the obv, instead of Tanit.

    My first horsey coin. When I first started collecting, this coin sang to me. For some reason it still does. No feet, quite ragged, but I still love it. I have no idea why!

    Looks like Tanit is smoking a cigar...Tough woman.

    This is a rare late large denomination coin.

    I cannot answer for you, @Pishpash , but I enjoy it as the Horse is looking back... as if it is in pensive curiosity. It is a cool pose.
