20190821_145305.jpg 20190821_145743.jpg does anyone have any idea as to why Lincoln looks like this on the reverse? Searched other 1962 pennies and he doesn't look like this...

There were 1,793,148,140 pennies struck in Denver. How many die pairs do you think were used?

IMO it was struck slightly off center. No added value.

So the Lincoln on the reverse was used by one of many different die pairs? Was it struck twice on the reverse?

All I'm saying is that thousands of die pairs were used, and they may or may not have deteriorated in similar ways during their useful life. Unless you have the majority of the coins that were produced by one pair of dies, you'll never really know if the specimen you posted in this thread is different or unusual.

Don't get testy. The only Lincoln on the reverse is the Statue of Lincoln in the Memorial. :)

That's what I was talking about...saying you don't see anything or speaking on something irrelevant to the question...was not answering the question as to why he looked the way he looked on the reverse was the question...I don't see where I was being, as you say "testy"

This Cent along with Lincoln on the reverse looks normal for the age of the coin and the wear it is showing.
