Coronet Head Large Cent

Hi, I was just wondering what that "stuff" is around the head?

(BTW, this is my first Large Cent!)

No way to tell with those images (why are they blue?)

 

Dunno really. I all I know is it was cheap. I have not received it yet, but should arrive soon.

 

almost looks like a uv light hit it and then outlined the crud on her headband.

from my comment about UV lighting, if it is just a bad light used too take the picture then it doesn't look like a bad coin. the color is just strange as heck
