1965 Lincoln penny

  1. I have a 1965 Penny that's rainbow it's hard to see in the pictures but it's not a normal Penny finish please help

    Could be normal "toning". Copper is reactive.
    People like the rainbow colors. You can put it in a 2x2 coin flip
    and save it, but it's worth .01 cent and it's normal.

    Nice coin. Got some nice toning from setting for a long time.
    A harder to find date too as Denver stopped producing cents in 1964.

    Denver and San Francisco also produced coins in 1965, 1966 and 1967,
    there just weren't any mint marks in those years.
    Did they not make pennies? I hadn't heard that.

    If it is a desirable coin you may be ruining it by holding it in your hand.

    You are correct. All three mints produced 1965 cents. From December 29,1965
    to July of 1966 with a total of 1,494,864,900. Only 1,085,000 1965 cent were actually made in 1965.
