    doesn't look like a coin to me, looks more like a possible button top to me or something like that maybe, maybe a token or bingo marker? you'd need to find a specialist in San Miguel Mission history and see if they've seen anything like it and maybe they know what it is or was for. could be a piece from a gift shop key chain....

    San Miguel Mission is the oldest known church in the continental U.S.
    Built between approximately 1610 and 1626 it's still functional and a bit of a tourist and history attraction.

    You probably posted this in the wrong forum (What's It Worth?)...this is not a coin. Seems to be a token of some kind, which I have never seen before. Perhaps someone else has seen it, but since you posted it in this forum, they may not see it. :happy:

    Agree with @John Burgess Not a coin. No country of origin, no denomination, no date. Good to see you back in the hunt Amber

    @Amberalaska

    I wonder if this medal represents a more stylized image of the mission.

    IDK, but they are both cool!

    It looks pretty small, so more likely a button instead of a medallion.

    They sell a half-dollar sized medallion at every California mission, and they all look pretty cool. I kinda wish I had been collecting one from every mission I've gone to... too late now

    This new picture is a medal commerating the 350th anniversay of Santa Fe.
    I don't get a sense of the color of it in this pictures either it's bronze or its .999 silver and you should be able to tell the difference though between the two. Either way very nice. Thanks for sharing!

    It is bronze. I have both the silver and the bronze (no photo of the bronze) and both of mine are graded by NGC MS67. They were produced by Medallic Art Co. in 1960 and are 63.5mm. The silver medal is .999+.
