So does anyone remember when IGA was around in the 80's. It was a little before my time as far as being a collector. How consistant were they, and how was there grading. I know always buy the coin not the slab, or paper. My local dealer has about six Morgans that have been graded by IGA. They used a split grade, one for the obverse and on for the reverse. The grades look like they might be on the money. I'll open it for comments now. I guess I wonder if I buy the coins should I keep them in there holders or send them to PCGS, NGC or an airtite?
heres a link to a whole bunch of slabbers most have never heard of http://www.surok.addr.com/slabbers.htm
Sigh! Another TPG. Stick with the TPGs generally regarded as reasonably reliable. Best are: PCGS NGC (& NCS) Good are: ANACS (although recent changes require careful acceptance for a while) ICG (although recent changes require careful acceptance for a while) Acceptable (with close examination): SEGS PCI (now DGS?)
