We can learn a lot about types and meaning because we study them with our time instead of spending it learning how to tell MS64 from MS63.
Are you kidding? That is where the fun is. I have spent many an hour chasing a coin through various references. There is a great deal of satisfaction to be had when you finally identify the coin. In fact I almost enjoy searching through references as much as I enjoy owning the coins themselves.
